Sunday Natural: two launches, from first concepts to the shop floor

I worked with Sunday Natural on retail display design and product placement for two 2026 launch locations: KaDeWe on Berlin’s Ku’damm and Hamburg’s Alsterhaus. The process moved from a visual brief into alternative display concepts, product-placement decisions, material and lighting options, production planning and the stores themselves. I’m sharing the proposal pages alongside a photograph of me in the KaDeWe display.

Two locations, one retail problem

The project covered KaDeWe on Berlin’s Ku’damm and Hamburg Alsterhaus. The briefs asked how Sunday Natural’s product range could become easier to notice and navigate inside two distinct department-store settings. The Hamburg deck documents the Alsterhaus display proposal; the companion product-placement deck is labelled for Berlin KaDeWe. I helped carry the work across both launches.

Explore the design before committing to production

The proposal developed several levels of intervention, from a simpler riser and signage approach to a more involved backing, material treatment and lighting. I compared product stands, display heights, ingredient references, the existing red shelving and the balance between visual impact, sourcing and practical installation. Showing alternatives made cost and complexity part of the design conversation rather than a late surprise.

Product placement is part of the story

The placement work considered how different package shapes and sizes could form a clear visual hierarchy, including a smaller-to-larger, pyramid-like arrangement. Moodboard references, closer render views and the wider fixture proposal let the team discuss the overall environment and the individual product encounter together.

From proposal into the stores

My role extended beyond the concept pages into design, production and the launch work in both locations. The photographs below include selected proposal pages from the original PDFs and a moment of me looking at the finished Sunday Natural display at KaDeWe. They show both how I developed the work and where it met customers.
