How I sourced two production runners across Berlin and Amsterdam in under 30 minutes

An agency brought me into a last-minute logistics problem for an underground ballet production. I resolved the immediate issue, then used Countercult’s local knowledge to find and pitch two runners, one in Berlin and one in Amsterdam. The search and outreach took under 30 minutes. The agency hired both, and their work helped get the production back on its feet.

The brief was immediate

The production had a time-sensitive logistics problem. I handled the immediate issue first, then looked at what else was needed to get the work moving again. I am keeping the account at the level I can substantiate rather than adding production details that were not part of my role.

I used local knowledge to find people

I searched for and pitched two runners who could work in the relevant cities: one in Berlin and one in Amsterdam. The search and outreach took under 30 minutes. Countercult’s local network gave me a practical way to find people quickly across both places.

The agency made the hiring decisions

The agency hired both runners. Their work helped get the production back on its feet. The hiring decision belonged to the agency, and the credit for delivering the work belongs to the people it hired.

What this case study shows

This is one documented example of local knowledge supporting a last-minute production need. It shows how I connected an urgent brief with people who could do the work; it is not a promise that every production problem can be solved in the same way.
