Sude Elverdi and Countercult

Sude’s public Countercult credits show the writing layer of the platform: making cultural work clear without stripping away the people, places, and context behind it.

A public record of Sude’s involvement with Countercult, assembled from named Countercult case-study credits and public Countercult writing.

2025: documenting a living place

Sude is credited as copywriter and co-author on The Rural Hackers Pilot in Anceu, Galicia, published in November 2025. The project brought Countercult together with Rural Hackers, Anceu Coliving, and the Pontevedra WordPress community to test how a cultural archive can be built with a village rather than simply written about it.

The credit matters because the writing was part of the work. It helped make local knowledge, community participation, and the practical limits of documentation understandable to people outside the place.

2026: cultural case studies and copy

Sude is credited alongside Danaja Antonija Volk on the Most Wanted Music case study, which documents how a conference can enter Berlin’s music ecosystem without overreach. The focus is not just on words. It is on explaining the cultural conditions that make curation, hospitality, and participation feel credible.

Sude is also credited on Countercult’s public case study about Zalando Pride in Berlin, alongside Shona Neary and Danaja. That work treats writing as part of the strategy: specific enough to respect lived context, and clear enough for a client team to act on.

2026: the Studios writing role

On the Quouch pilot, Sude is credited for copywriting while Shona leads creative direction and strategy. The project tested a more curated, connection-led direction in an actual social and cultural context. Sude’s role sits in the space between proposition, audience, and the language needed to make a new idea legible.

Countercult’s public LinkedIn writing has also identified Sude as its copywriter and DJ, connecting the Studio role to a lived relationship with Berlin’s underground culture rather than a detached content function.

Good cultural writing does not decorate the work. It helps people understand what is at stake and how to take part.

editorial process: Our Journals are pulled from our writings over the years to get information out as quickly and as widely as possible, and to get to what matters: finding each other and claiming our seat in the circular economy. Some ideas overlap between Shona Neary's work on cultural infrastructure and their artist practice as Sketchy Shona. AI is a tool for infrastructure, not for creating Journal writing or artists' work. We welcome original reporting and pitches from journalists and independent publishers.
