Artist housing, spaces, and open calls

Countercult Exchange is a member exchange for artists and cultural workers to share and find useful resources, space, and opportunities. Approved members can post offers or searches for rooms and homes, studios and event spaces, paid gigs, open calls, collaborations, practice or skill exchanges, and partner resources.

What members can share and find

  • rooms, homes, short stays, studios, and workspaces
  • venues and spaces for rehearsals, events, shoots, exhibitions, and gatherings
  • paid gigs, funded opportunities, open calls, and collaborations
  • practice or skill exchanges, plus partner resources such as services, software, tickets, and access

How access and privacy work

This public page explains the exchange categories rather than reproducing individual listings. Some posts are public and browsable; Network-only posts and their details are restricted to approved members. Artists and cultural workers apply for access before posting or viewing those member-only posts.

How an exchange works

Members post what they can offer or what they are looking for, then arrange the terms directly with one another. Countercult provides the protected exchange space; it is not a booking agent or brokerage for housing, venues, or other arrangements.

Part of Countercult's wider work

The public Network supports discovery. Countercult Studios works with places and organisations on local cultural research, commissions, and programmes. The business-owned Countercult Fund helps businesses create budgets for paid local creative work.
